Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : In this study, to propose the efficient practical use plan of The Surgical Instrument Set, Basic, which has been used until now, we survey it’s actual condition and analyzed the Surgical Instrument Set, combat, which has been revising.
Methods : We visited 2 Division Medical service Battalions, 2 MASH, 1 Corps Medical Service Hospital, 1 Army Medical Service Hospital where the Surgical Instrument Set, Basic is kept for research about actual resupply and management condition of it with the check list which we developed by pre-research for 2 months. The other hand, we measured the time required of which we could prepare for sterilization to use from 2 sets that is The Surgical Instrument Set, Basic, and the First Aid Instrument set, Field we propose for 1 month. Finally, we compared and analyzed practical efficiency of 2 sets by frequency and average with MS EXCELL 2000
Result : As a result of research, the Medical Instrument Set, Basic is too old and not clear of use to meet operation trends, showed inappropriate connection are between some instruments and the purpose. It is stored as bundles of same NIIN in a big metal box, so, it is too heavy to carry and not easy complex to collect contribution of trays for need. Although the Surgical Instrument Set, combat revising of the list, it is smaller, and lighter, but it has same problems about list update and practical use. Therefore, we propose to revise the Surgical Instrument Set as follow First, we make the purpose clear whether medical service units have operation room or not. so, propose the First Aid Instrument Set, Field in Division Medical service Battalions, Bridgade Medical Company and Battalion Medical Platoon where isn’t operation room and the Surgical Instrument Set, Field in MASH, Corps Medical Service Hospital and Army Medical Service Hospital where is operation room. Second, we improve the packing case to Cordura bag which like paramedics using. Third, we make rays which is consist of Instruments need to treat some cases make trays for storage inside bag. so, we expect to improve practical efficiency, storage and list update way.
